The practical boy
The other day, my cousin that is working in Singapore went home with his fiancee. They asked us to meet them for a lunch treat and of course I can’t say no to that hahaha. I suggested to have lunch at Seaside here in Daang Hari and then visit Landers Alabang West afterwards.
I just finished watching the first season of Let’s Eat and I’ve been craving to eat seafood for a long time already. My husband is allergic to it and it’s quite expensive and I don’t like to cook that’s why I haven’t had one for a long time hahaha. Anyway I will post a review of the place we’ve been to on my next post.
So, as I have mentioned, after eating lunch we drove to Landers Alabang West.
My cousin asked my son and niece (who’s also with us) to get any chocolates that they like.
I was nervous when he said “get whatever you like” because I was thinking that Ren might get something too expensive (syempre nakakahiya yun).
But I was so relieve when he was conscious with the price and picked one that was on sale.
My cousin even tested him by showing this Kirkland Almond chocolates worth P900. He asked Ren to get it instead, but Ren declined and said that it’s too expensive and preferred the one on sale instead.
GRABE! Nakaka proud!
He did not take advantage of the opportunity and at the same time pinakita nya at nag reason out sya bakit yun ang pinili nya.
I also remember my husband’s story whenever they go to a toy store. My husband usually checks on Marvel Legends because he wants to get some for himself. But whenever Ren sees him checking them out, he always say that’s too expensive that you can’t afford it.
I think we are raising him well, I would like to pat my back as well as my husband’s for that. #proudparents

Grabe π Nakaka proud mmy sobra. Dala nya yun hanggang ngayon. At tinuturo din namin sa little sister nya.

Good job Mommyπ Nakkaa proud talaga yan. With my eldest naman i hope i made it right and raise him well. Nasobrahan ata Momsh haha, nasanay kasi na di maluho noong baby yan gang lumaki. Alam nya value ng money at hardwork. Kapag kasama sa grocery yan, he opted for cheaper prices. He would compare muna then choose bundles and cheaper pero known brand. Kapag kain kami sa labas, lagi sinasabi “wag dyan Ma, mahal dyan” or kaya simply kapag may cravings kami sinasabi nya na no need na. Mahilig din siya mag ipon. I am happy na ganoon siya dahil alam nya value at hirap namin. Kapag my request si 2nd ( opposite dahil mahilig mag pabili eto ) , lagi nya sinasaway na wag yan kesyo mahal, sayang pera masisira lang etc. Good job Mommy Levy tunay na nakakaproud anak mo.

This is really nice. πππ

Will I able to raise a child like yours? Will I be a good example to my kid? These are some of my fears really. Here’s the thing… I received offensive comments regarding why I join promos and posting my tipid hacks in buying my kids stuff while I think I was just living within my means. I am a public school teacher and technically supporting our needs (my daughter and mine), milk and diapers are expensive and cost of living is expensive, too.
I ignore negativity most of the time but I really wish people will understand deeper instead of just commenting.
I’ll give you an extra pat on the back, momma. You are doing a great job. Ren is your living proof. π
Mine is still uncertain but I really wish na maintindihan ako ng anak ko when the time comes, that she’ll agree with living within our means and follow my lead.

just do what you think is right, do not mind what other people will say as long na wala kayong tinatapakang tao at sinasaktan you are doing great as a parent π I know maiintindihan din ng anak mo lahat ng turo mo in the future.
