Start a Blog in 5 Easy Steps
As I have mentioned in my previous post about the 7 Myths of Blogging, I will create an easy guide for you if you want to start this blogging journey too.
BUT take note though that you won’t be able to get any free stuff or earn immediately in blogging if that’s your goal in making one.
Start a Blog in 5 Easy Steps
- Choose a Niche: Pick a niche that you know you are good at and that you are comfortable talking about. It can be about motherhood, finance, travel, fashion, food etc. NOW, if you want to put everything in one blog then make sure that your posts still falls on the main niche. For example, you chose to create a mommy blog but you are also good in finance, then talk about finance and how it can be beneficial to all moms and kids. Or if you want to travel but you have a mommy blog, then make posts that are kid friendly or recommend some places that you know are good for families to travel. Gets nyo ako? Basta don pa din sya magfall sa main niche, para di magulo.
- Choose a name: Now choose a name that best describes what your blog is all about. If you want a mommy blog, I highly suggest to create a name with a mom or mommy on it for branding. Also don’t forget to be unique.
- Choose a Platform: If you don’t have money yet to buy your own domain name or a hosting package, I suggest to use free sites. Log on to either www.blogger.comΒ or www.wordpress.com. I started with blogger.com platform for a few years, if you want to know.
- Start Publishing Your Posts: After starting your blog the next thing is to start publishing your posts and be consistent. Make at least 3 posts per week or more.
- Create Social Media Pages: Now that you have your own blog, let people know about it by posting the link of your articles on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. You should also connect with your fellow bloggers by joining blogger groups in Facebook.
Now if you want to look more professional, then you might consider getting your own domain name and hosting platform like bluehost, namecheap etc. Prepare at least $100 annually for this.
Don’t ask me about technical stuff on how to do it (transferring from free platform to own domain), because I hired someone to do it for me. If you know someone who can do it for free then that’s better.
That’s it. Hope this helps some of you. If you have questions, just comment down below.
Good luck in your blogging journey π

Thank you so much mommy lev.I thought blogging is more on endorsing and reviewing products online, so its like they get paid for blogging those product.
I never thought you should love writing first and give information, like don’t expect to get paid agad
Mommy Levy says
blogging is an online diary. Next na lang yung we get paid for promoting items (pero di naman lahat ng items na niri review namin ay paid).
