Hair Makeover: A Cut & Color at The BLOC by Junie Sierra & Co. Salon in BGC
Life is too short that I think we should experience and try new stuff and places once in a while. So today I’m going to tell you about this newest salon in BGC that I went to for the first time. It’sΒ The BLOC by Junie Sierra & Co. Salon in BGC.
Going to high end salons likeΒ The BLOC by Junie Sierra & Co. Salon in BGC makes you feel special, like a VIP or a celebrity. Oh! and guess what, I even bumped with Solenn Heusaff upon entering the area (yay!).
The BLOC by Junie Sierra & Co. Salon in BGC is located at the Lower Ground Floor, C2 Building, 28th St., Corner 7th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street in front of carpark facing Aracama. If you are coming from High Street it is at the back of Slice/Jamba Juice and near Belo.
Upon entering, you’ll instantly feel that it’s a one of a kind and a classy place.Β The ambiance is perfect if you want to have a quality time with yourself. It’s quiet (just a relaxing sound in the background), the interior is clean and cozy.
They have separate areas for hair and make-up, hair make over for men and for women. Plus they also have an exclusive area for… you know, those who needs more privacy.
At the washing area, you’ll see a wall art especially made by Solenn Heusaff for this Salon.
They have an area for mixing hair colors and hair treatment that can be seen by customers. So you’ll know what they’re putting on your hair π
Another thing that I like with this salon is that you could ask for a glass of wine or a cup of coffee while they’re doing your hair makeover.
Here’s what my hair looks like when I’m not wearing a ponytail
After washing my hair, I was asked to wear this protective suit before having my haircut. I like that it has a hole for my arms. It makes me feel more comfortable.
My hair cut was done by Senior stylistΒ Mr. Nelson Eneran. I told him that as much as I want to have a short hair because of the hot weather I don’t think I can because it might not suite my round shaped face, plus my natural hair is wavy and kinda hard to manage. So what he did was just cut it a little to remove dry ends and then add small layers (if that’s what they call it).
After the haircut, he did my hair color using Wella product. He put some highlights and a red base. It covered my gray hair, and I like that the result is not too obvious or loud.
Overall, I can say that I had a great and relaxing time with this luxurious salon. I will definitely go back to try their other services if given a chance.
Perhaps the only downside for me is that they only have one branch for now. I hope they will put another branch here in the South – Alabang area in particular so that it would be easier for us Southerners to visit them.
