How I Lost Weight Naturally
Since May this year, if you’re a follower of my Facebook page or my Instagram account I’m sure you’ve seen that I have posted some selfies when I’m at the gym, working out and or doing Zumba.
I did that because I was hoping that posting my fitness journey on social media will encourage some people in my circle to do the same, since that was the one that pushes me and reminds me to take care of myself.
A while ago, we were in Festival Mall Alabang, I decided to drop by at the free clinic inside the mall. Β I was sooo happy when it showed that I already reached 58kg (from 66kg).
BACKGROUND
Ten years ago, after giving birth I’ve been struggling to get back into my original shape and weight. Β My excuse was that I am breastfeeding and I need to eat more to be able to give more. But I only breastfed for 4 months and my eating habit did not changed.
I’ve tried slimming coffee before, I think I have lost some weight from it but my skin was so dry and I also experienced headache as a side effect of it. When I stopped taking it, my weight increased even more.
Then this year, when my Kumare Peachy shared that she is having health problems and need to lose weight I realized that ohhh yeah I’m not getting any younger too.
I’m lucky I don’t feel anything bad about my body yet but I don’t want to wait for it to realize that I need to do something about my unhealthy lifestyle also.
So we the Kumares thought that we need to lose weight and have a healthy lifestyle. We tag each other in Facebook so that we will not forget to exercise that day.
MY WORKOUT
I started my fitness journey this year at the nearby gym – Anytime Fitness.
I signed up for a 3 day FREE trial.
I did not enroll though after that, then I got an invite to the Planaforma branch opening in Quezon City. I received 2 months unlimited session for attending the event.
The Planaforma session is quite expensive so I maximized my voucher. I did 2 hours session with them in a day twice or thrice a week. I’ve been dragging my whole body to reach the bus area going home after every workout because my muscles were aching.
After 2 months with them, I felt that I’m getting stronger. I then started joining Zumba sessions in our subdivision. I love to dance so I enjoyed the zumba classes.
MY DIET
At the house, we decided to switch to brown and red rice. I limit my rice intake. Whenever we dine outside, I only eat half of it. Unfortunately, I can’t remove it totally from my diet.
I didn’t do Keto diet or Intermittent Fasting. I can’t remove the sugar in my diet, that’s my happy thing.
What I do is just limit it, I don’t want to deprive myself with anything.
THE OUTCOME
People started to noticed my weight lost.
My clothes are now lose. I already bought new sets of jeans and underwear because of that. I felt okay about myself before, but now I feel good and more confident.
Goodbye to Overweight BMI. Kunti na lang I will reach my goal of 55kg or less. I’m so happy that finally after 10 long years, I won’t include losing weight in my New Year’s resolution next year anymore.
