Review: Crimson Hotel Filinvest City Alabang + Affordable Family Photoshoot
Last month. my brother went back here in the Philippines after a year of working abroad. He and his wife got busy in attending for his son’s baptismal as soon as he arrived.
After the baptism, I decided to book a room at Crimson Hotel in Alabang for the following reasons: (1) to bond with my brother and our entire family (2) to have them experience what it’s like to have a hotel staycation (3) for Ren and my niece to play at the pool (4) and to have a family picture while he’s here.
There are a lot of Hotels to choose from here in Alabang but I decided to choose Crimson Hotel because it is the nearest and easiest hotel to visit for my brother and his family because they have a 5 month old baby in tow.
The reception area was at the 8th floor of the hotel, so don’t be surprised if upon entering you’ll just see a small area and security area to check your belongings.
My first choice was a Double One Bedroom Suite because there is a separate living room, but it was sold out so we just booked an Executive Club Room.
Details:
1 King Bed
420-sq-foot (39-sq-meter) room with city views
Layout – Separate sitting area
Relax – In-room massage available
Internet – Free WiFi and wired Internet access
Entertainment – 40-inch flat-screen TV, premium channels, and DVD player
Food & Drink – Coffee/tea maker, minibar, electric kettle, and 24-hour room service
Bathroom – Private bathroom, shower, bathrobes, and slippers
Practical – Safe, free newspaper, and desk; rollaway/extra beds and free cribs/infant beds available on request
Comfort – Air conditioning and daily housekeeping
Accessibility – Wheelchair accessible
Non-Smoking
There’s nothing extra ordinary about the room, except that it is situated at the corner of the hotel and you got two views at the same time. I like that the bathroom has a bidet but they don’t have a bath tub.
Our booking includes an access to the Club Lounge. This was where we checked in separate from the crowd on the reception area (I love the VIP treatment). We were also given welcome drinks.
Plus 2 persons had an access here for a tea/coffee and unlimited desserts and drinks at night.
My brother and I were the one who used it.
The pastries tasted good in fairness. They offer brewed coffee, tea, juices, sodas and alcoholic drinks (at night) too.
We also dropped by at their swimming pool so that the kids can take a dip and play. They have one area for adults and another one for the kids.
The deck has a wide area for adults who just want to chill and relax too.
They also have a gym for staying costumers.
As I have mentioned, one of the reasons why we stayed here is to have a family photo shoot. I think that doing it in a hotel is more practical than doing it in a studio. I actually have two choices, hire a photographer and do it outdoor in any photogenic place here in Alabang or book a hotel and let the tripod help us in doing it. I decided to do the latter. Unfortunately as much as I want I can’t do both.
Well, I was thinking of the baby. He should be in a comfortable place and an outdoor shoot would be hard for him.
Here are some shots we’ve got.
My brother and his family plus his mother-in-law were the one who stayed there overnight. The booking came with a free breakfast. My brother sent this picture the next morning and it looks like they’re enjoying it.
