Let’s Join the FitFil National Weight Loss Challenge
I’ve been wanting to lose the extra pounds I gained after giving birth, but unfortunately my son is now 9 and I’m still overweight. With my height, I need to lose at least 20 pounds to be in a normal range.
I joined FitFil (Fit Filipino) boot camp last 2012 here at Alabang, it was a 12 session program running 3 times a week. I lost 5lbs that time because of intense training. But unfortunately I did not maintain the fire in my heart to lose weight and after the boot camp I returned to the usual couch potato lifestyle.
I tried a lot of workouts already, running, walking, zumba, swimming etc… but I think I’m motivated more if I am with groups. I’m glad that this year my closest friends from this blogging industry (which we call ourselves Kumare Bloggers), are now motivating each other to be healthy, fit and strong again. We put a little pressure on ourselves by tagging each other on social media after we finished our workout for the day. Since the start of this month (June) I’ve been attending Planaforma’s various classes to be strong and hopefully lose those extra pounds soon.
That’s why I’m happy to be part of this year’s FitFil National Weight Loss Challenge. Together with FWD Life Philippines Insurance, FiItFil will be challenging Filipinos in all regions to collectively donate/lose one million pounds (1,000,000 lbs.) aimed towards building a fitter and healthier nation.
Coach Jim Saret and his wife Toni Saret started this FitFil movement years ago and they are proud to partner with FWD Insurance because they have the same goal that is to inspire a new wave of awareness for the health benefits of keeping fit. They believe that living life to the fullest starts with being healthy. Which I totally agree!!
This campaign started this month of June and will last until December this year. FWD launched the Live to Move health and wellness program last Saturday June 24 at SM MOA By the Bay.
Rain or shine people from different sectors joined and attended the fitness party event.
I’ll be visiting one of their weigh-in centers soon to be able to count myself in and be part of this campaign. I pledge to donate those 20lbs that I’ve been wanted to lose for the longest time. Join me and let’s all #GetReadyToLive
