My Laser Solutions Experience at Luminisce Skin Clinic
One of the things I want to take into consideration for this year is paying more attention to my skin and my total well being. I’m already 36 and I saw a few lines forming near my eyes and forehead already. That’s because I did not take good care of my skin early, if only I could turn back time I should have been conscious as early as I hit puberty. Aging gracefully is a dream and I’m hoping to achieve it. I know it’s not yet too late with the help of today’s technology, I’m pretty sure I can reverse the signs of aging.
A few weeks ago, I found myself having acne problems because my monthly period was coming. One dermatologist I trust after I met her last year was Dr.Kaycee Reyes of Luminisce Skin Clinic in BGC. Since I have nothing to do last Thursday, I did not think twice to pay her a visit.
That visit marked my first facial treatment for this year which I wish I could religiously do every month.
Upon entering I was surprised to see a bigger Luminisce Skin Clinic, they have extended their space and now provide more rooms. This improvement just showcased that they have grown their business and can now cater for more patients in a day.
Dr. Kaycee, as usual checked my skin first before the treatment. She asked what’s my concerns and suggested some treatments. She even wanted me to avail their new service called full brow treatment, it’s a permanent, tattooed brows in perfect, symmetrical arches. But unfortunately as much as I want to do the procedure I can’t because I also got some acne on my eyebrow area.
After the skin check, I was ushered to my room for my treatment.
My therapist cleaned my face first then did the Skin Oxyglow treatment. This treatment infuses oxygen and hydrating nutrients deep into cells that immediately rejuvenates the skin by improving blood circulation while encouraging collagen production to protect the skin from the harsh environment.
I love this treatment because I can feel a smoother, moisturized skin after.
After that, they treated my acne with the Coquille peel treatment. This treatment shed the rough skin and restore the skin’s moisture levels by using Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) derived from natural fruit and food extracts. These ingredients effectively normalize the skin’s natural exfoliating and hydrating properties. It’s a little bit itchy afterwards but it’s tolerable. I have noticed a suppler, healthier skin with this Coquille Peel.
I also had some white and black heads removed. Since I haven’t done this for a while now, my therapist told me that I have a lot of them already and they’re hard to remove.
After that Doc Kaycee came in and administer the IL injection on my pimples and on my sebaceous hyperplasia on my nose.
Lastly, she did the Acne Clear Laser which targets acne inflammation, post-acne redness, and facial flushing.
I am happy that my pimples were cleared and there’s no downtime with the procedure they did to my face. I was able to attend an event the next day confidently beautiful 🙂
I hope I’ll be able to visit her again to avail of the Full Brow treatment.
If you’re like me who wants to achieve smooth, pimple-free skin and to solve any of your skin problem, visit Dr.Kaycee now at Luminisce.

The result looks really fabulous. Love what happened to the nose after the treatment. I’d love to have pimple free skin but I am a little afraid to use things and chemicals on my face. I’m afraid that it may worsen the conditon. 🙂

takot din ako before. My after photo I think is because of the lighting also, kaya di masyado lumabas yung asa nose. But overall, I’m happy naman talaga with my facial treatment.

It’s been awhile since I’ve gone for a facial.I like the prep part but the pricking is painful.Anyway I think your skin looks really good after the treatment.

Amazing results! Napa-wow talaga ako. I haven’t tried any facial treatment pa kasi. But I am considering it after giving birth (and if it’s allowed for breastfeeding moms) para medyo iwas losyang. I need to revamp my skin care na rin talaga. Thanks for sharing your experience with Luminisce Skin Clinic. I’ll consider this one when the time comes that I’ll push through with my facial treatment plans. 🙂

I am used to be so poor at taking care my skin. My idea of face cleansing is washing my face before I go to sleep. However now that I am in my 40s I am beginning to realize and take conscious effort to really really take care of my skin (my face specifically).

Not until now that I learned laser acne treatment. I am only familiar with hair laser removal kasi since that’s only my concern when going to skin centers. And yes, you should visit them more often. But I suggest not every month for facial treatment, because I noticed that once you always go for facials, your skin pores might become more visible (open!). Oh well, that’s my own observation, you can check it yourself😄
Mommy Levy says
ahhh, thanks for the advice.

I started my year with a facial since I have been getting acne and my skin’s rough. Good thing you were able to attend an event the next day. There were a lot of red spots on my face days after my ordinary facial.
Mommy Levy says
I was surprised too, no visible marks on my face after my session.

Ohem I want but I’m afraid! I did went to derma while I was in college and after I ‘thought’ I was acne-free and thought I no longer need to go to a derma, my acne came back! It was bad. Right now, I don’t have much acne, I still get though esp when I’m about to have my period, but my skin’s not that smooth anymore and I still have some scarring. Btw, may I ask with the treatment you’ve done, kailangan ba na bumalik ka every month to do the same treatment? And if I may ask also, how much ang ganyan treatment? 🙂
Mommy Levy says
it’s advisable to visit your derma if you have skin concerns. If you have the resources, visiting them maybe twice a month is recommended.

I’ve tried laser before, but it was a bit harsh on my skin. I was told I have sensitive skin so I need to rely on gentler treatments.

Honestly, I’ve haven’t tried any facial treatment. I just go to facial centers only to do my eyebrow threading, pero nung natutunan ko na magthread, I just do it on my own. Pero I am also thinking now that you say if only you can turn back time, maybe it’s time for me to try something to pamper my face and skin. Natuwa ako sa blooming face mo mommy levy eh! 🙂
Mommy Levy says
hindi naman maiiwasang tumanda, but let’s aim to have nice skin pa din habang tumatanda 🙂

I know some peeps who frequently visit Luminisce and they really do have that “glowing” look afterwards. Alas, I dread having facials …
