Our Family Staycation at Mount Sea Resort in Cavite
It’s been 4 years already since we moved in Molino Cavite from Manila. People are expecting that I already know a lot of places in this huge town but unfortunately there are still a lot of beautiful places here that I haven’t visited yet.
When friends ask me where to have a luxurious stay in Cavite, my automatic reply is Tagaytay because that’s the only place I think that is serene and tranquil in this area. But I was wrong, there are actually A LOT of areas here hidden in different parts of the town.
One town I recently discovered was Rosario Cavite. We visited an oasis in this town called Mount Sea Resort.
I read the post of Pinoy Adventurista about this resort and it’s all praises, but being a “segurista” mom that I am I want to see the place or experience it first for myself to believe.
THE LOBBY
The usual check-in time is 2PM but we arrived an hour late, upon entering at the reception area, we felt the warm welcome of the crew. When I set foot on their lobby I already felt that this place is no ordinary place. The beautiful interior design of the lobby is unexpected from what it looked from the outside.
Mount Sea Resort lobby provide comfortable couch for the guests to stay on while waiting for their room key. There are magazines to entertain you, the place is well lit and the wall designs are stunning. Believe me, I know a lot about interior designs haha.
I’ve been to other hotels in Cavite and I can honestly say that Mount Sea resort’s lobby is one of the cozier lobby I’ve seen.
I got our key to the room just a few minutes upon our arrival. Our room is located at the 2nd floor area.
PRESTIGE ROOM
Our Prestige Room looks like this.
I can’t help to compare their room to one of the well-known hotel in Tagaytay (clue: the one near SkyRanch) and to tell you honestly Mount Sea Resort’s room for me is way better.
They have bidet wooohooo! A lot of five stars hotel don’t have this and for us this is a plus point for Mount Sea. They have hot and cold water in the bathroom too.
Other hotel’s don’t provide hair conditioner so another plus point for Mount Sea because they have one.
Their slippers are unique since it’s an outdoor slipper which for us is another plus point since we can’t use bedroom slippers if we will go out for a swim.

FIESTA DEL AMOR SWIMMING POOL
After settling down and resting for few minutes, we immediately changed to our swimming attires and headed to the pool.
We’re glad that there are only a few guests when we were there, we had the pool all for ourselves.
I like the wooden platform surrounding the pool because it is safer for kids plus the place has this tropical vibe because of the palm trees around the area.
Ren enjoyed the mini Jacuzzi or I can call it the kiddie pool so much. We prefer him to stay here because Noel doesn’t want to swim and I on the other hand don’t like to be Ren’s chaperone on the big pool. Well, it’s a small girl problem, I find 5 feet high already haha.
They have a slide and my son tried it (that’s the only time I went to the big pool to wait for him at the end of the slide). He liked it so much. Stay tuned for his video 🙂
There are day beds and tables and chairs around the pool that you can use to dine and drink while watching over your kids or friends. There’s also a shower area and toilet and bath near the pool, so no need to go far when you need to go number 1 or 2. The pool is open from 8am to 10pm everyday.

For those who are in a big group and looking for only a day accommodation and an affordable option, Mount Sea Resort can provide that also.

Fitness Area
Hotel’s guest can use their gym equipment for free. The next time we visit Mount Sea I promise I will try this area.
Entertainment Area
Since they cater for family and friends, they made sure you will have other things to do here besides sleeping, dining and swimming. This entertainment area can be used to play billiards and watch movies.
Koi Feeding
They also have a small pond with Koi that you can feed for a certain time. This is a hit for kids.
They also have a parrot that talks. Ren loves talking to it, he even said “I love you” to the parrot when we’re about to leave.
Breakwater Area
Early morning you can go to the breakwater area and feel the cold sea breeze. You can watch fishermen here doing their thing or spot some birds.
At this area you can also have team building exercises because there are obstacle course already situated.
WIFI CONNECTION
We got a WIFI connection in our room during our stay contrary to Pinoy Adventurista’s visit where he said that WIFI connection was only available at selected areas like the lobby.
COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST
Hotel guests can get their complimentary breakfast at the Dining Room. I like that the breakfast set-up is located over viewing the greenery area and the sea. It is so peaceful here.
Their menu consist of Filipino and Continental breakfast.
The boys ordered bacon and sausage while I decided to try their Salinas Tinapa which is a must try if you ever visited Rosario Cavite.
Mount Sea Resort offer a variety of dishes for lunch and dinner also. I will blog about what we had on my next post.
ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
With their newly renovated area, I know that they are doing their best to improve and to be the best resort in Cavite. There are a few things that I wish they could work on more like the internet connection being available in every area of the resort. But I also think that it is their way to say “hey you’re here to relax and go offline in the digital world, so why not just enjoy your stay”.
I am very particular with hotel’s bed and pillow, the bed is okay enough but I want the pillow to be more fluffier and bigger. Oh well that’s me because my boys are okay with it naman.
To conclude our stay, here is our signature family picture.
We enjoyed our stay at Mount Sea Resort and this is one of the resorts I will recommend to my friends who want to see the other parts of Cavite. With their friendly staff, spacious rooms and amenities plus variety and delicious food offerings, I know hindi ako mapapahiya.

This is a nice alternative to those na sawa na sa mga resorts in Batangas or hot springs in Laguna. The prices are competitive pa and yes, thumbs up that they have a bidet 😀

Michelle says
I agree that the reason may be there are some areas of the resort that has no wifi connectivity is for their visitors to enjoy the stay and forget about the digital world for a while. 🙂 The place is really good at mukhang kayo lang ang guest that time kasi solong solo nyo yata ang pool. Hihi.
Coi says
The pool looks really nice! Parang ang saya talaga mag staycation diyan!! 🙂
Lhourdes Mercadero says

Cavite for us is a long travel already considering that we have a baby. But for a staycation, i would prefer to have a night or two there. The place has lifestyle amenities that my family would love from swimming pool to gym, jogging path, etc. Love the look of the room as well. And yes! Panalo kapag may bidet 🙂
Mommy Queenelizabeth says
This place looks fun! I just find the rates a little pricey? Pero if its good and spacious why not? Surely the kids will love it here..

Nice, I’ve always wanted to see this place. We were given vouchers for free stay before but we weren’t able to use them and just gave them to another couple.
Is there wifi in the room, at least? How about the other meals ? Did you buy your meals at the resort? How are the prices? Sorry, makulit, naghahanap kasi kami ng mapupuntahan na easy to go to na public transport hihi
Mommy Levy says
Hi May, there is wifi inside our room, pero wala sa pool and dining room. Yes we ate our dinner and lunch at the resort sobrang sulit. Will blog about all the food we had soon.
May Palacpac says
I’m so looking forward to that blog on the food. Please do tag me again, if it isn’t too much to ask. I don’t mind no wifi sa pool and dining room, but yung sa room for me is very important as I have to bring my work. I can’t take a full leave. I only have my Christmas break. 🙂
