Beat Tough Malodors with Downy

After our out of the country trip this month, I brought home a luggage full of dirty clothes. As much as I want to do the laundry at our house, unfortunately I don’t have the strength and extra time to do so. Plus ito pa, may mood swing ang panahon.. bigla uulan tapos aaraw, hirap maintindihan. 

To save me from having overflowing dirty clothes I brought our dirty clothes to the nearest laundry shop and let them wash, fold and make our clothes smell good again. Doing that saves me time and energy.

At this moment, bringing our dirty clothes to the laundry shop is the only option I have to achieve good smelling clothes, plus nakatupi na pagkatapos. Wala pa akong lakas para mag handwash. Naman, who doesn’t like the smell of a freshly washed clothes? Di’ba ang sarap isuot pag ang bango bango?

On our recent trip, we spent a lot of time walking from one destination to another plus it was quite hot in Singapore during that time. That’s why most of our clothes smelled like sweat.

Based on a survey, the Top 10 Malodors are: vehicle exhaust, smoke from cigarette, smoke from burning garbage, sweat and body odor, wet socks, amoy kulob, fried fish, smoke from barbecue, smell of garlic and onions on clothes.

That’s why Downy, the only fabric conditioner that I trust hosted a Malodor Challenge by holding a cooking demonstration event a few days ago.

We were given an apron before the event starts. We were asked to choose from a pink or a blue apron, I have chosen the blue one.

Chef JP Anglo prepared some everyday dishes that emits strong odors such as grilled Vietnamese pork belly and Grilled Bangus with talangka and buro.

Celebrity mommies Pia Guanio, Camille Prats, Kelly Misa and Patty Laurel helped Chef JP cooked too. The event was hosted by new mom Bianca Gonzales.

They also shared personal stories about the smells they don’t like the most.

After the cooking demonstration, we were asked to smell our aprons, I was surprised that mine smells good besides the fact that I am situated near the stove.

The other apron (the color pink), smells terrible.  Then they revealed that the only one washed with Downy was the color blue aprons.
