10 Room Designs I like from PSID Evolution 2016 Exhibit
I barely attend press launch nowadays, but when I do it is really something that interests me or that I have extra time and just want to go out and see the other side of the world.
When Jeman the author of Orange Magazine invited me to attend the PSID Evolution exhibit at Ortigas I said yes because the event time is flexible (I was able to go any time that I’m comfortable with) and that interior designs are close to my heart because I love watching house and room makeover. Shout out to all House Rules TV viewers out there!
So, last Thursday, I took an MRT from Edsa Pasay and went to Ortigas to see the exhibit of PSID students entitled Evolution presenting the Past Present and Future of Interior Designs.
The PSID Evolution Exhibit 2016 was prepared by the Advanced Class batch 2016 of the Philippine School of Interior Design which marks the countdown to PSID’s 50th anniversary next year.
Here are my 10 Favorite Rooms out of 24 Rooms at this exhibit.
Booth 1 Arne Jacobsen / Living Room
Booth 2 Finn Juhl / Den
Booth 5 Eero Saarinen / Kitchen
Booth 6 Charles Eames / Study – Library
Booth 11 Modern Moorish / Lanai- Patio
I like how they designed this platform and couch making it look like it’s floating. The vertical garden at the back also made this area cozy and relaxing. Oh I wish to have this at my future bigger house 🙂
Booth 12 Modern Tropical / Dining Room
everything in this area is love. That orange chairs, wide wooden table and bench and that unique water fountain on the ceiling makes this area amazing.
Booth 15 Modern Japanese / Master Bedroom
I love anything Japanese. The look is simple and uncluttered, it’s the perfect bedroom for rest and solitude.
Booth 16 Modern Filipino / Toilet & Bath
They used rattan and capiz in this Filipino design toilet.
Booth 17 Rustic Luxe / Living Room
Rustic Luxe is the blending of rustic materials such as stone, brick and barn board with luxury items such as crystal chandeliers, soft plush fabrics and fur. I love the unique light patterns on the wall.
Booth 22 Avant Garde Industrial / Study-Library
the room showcases neutral delightful textural interplay of grainy, earthy wood and smooth black and raw concrete wall enhance the mood of the space. Clean lines and lack of clutter characterize this space.
