Noel and I at 9th Robinsons Supermarket Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run
My husband is a shy person and hates socialization, that is one of the traits that make us different. When I asked him if he wanted to come with me at the 9th Robinsons Supermarket Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run, I’m expecting already that he will decline. He doesn’t like to go with me at events because it means there are a lot of people and he feels uncomfortable with it. He only comes when the event is a sponsored one and the client requested to bring the family. I was surprised when he agreed, sabi nya okay lang may service naman. So, tinext ko agad ang nanay ko to come to the house and be with Ren while we’re away.
We woke up early at 3AM to prepare. I only brought extra clothes, towel, water, cash and phone. When we arrived, there are already a lot of runners at the area. Some are falling in line on sponsored booths, having their breakfast while others are joining Regine Tolentino for the warm up activity.
After we got our race kits, hubby and I toured around to check some sponsored booths, ang dami nila. Free foods and drinks are everywhere, hindi ka magugutom.
Coach Jim Saret and his wife Toni Saret also graced the event with their simple but intense workout. I joined them and it really made my heart pump fast haha.
Around 5:45am the 5KM category started. Noel and I started slow and ended slow haha. Yeah, we walked most of the time but we loved every minute of it since we were having fun and enjoyed the beauty of BGC that day.
Noel saw a lot of wall arts around the area and as an artist, he appreciates it. I also showed him some places I’ve been too. This experience is a first for us.
After the race, all runners were able to bring home a huge and heavy shopping bag with a mix of food and non-food items. All went home smiling 🙂
