Our brief staycation at Nobu Hotel Manila
Before Ren started to go back to school, we had a brief staycation at Nobu Hotel at City of Dreams Manila in Pasay City. I’m glad that my cousin invited us to go there. It’s a good opportunity to see Nobu’s room and to take a dip in their pool.
We rode the City of Dreams bus at SM MOA (it’s a sosyal na bus and the best thing is that it’s free).
My relatives are the first one to arrive and check-in. Ren and I arrived late and after setting down our stuff, I asked them if we could go down the pool area and take a dip.
When we arrived at the pool area, the staff did not allow new guests to use the pool because of the thunder storm. So, nagpicture picture na lang muna kami, ang saya lang walang tao 🙂

OVERALL, if I will compare the Deluxe room of Nobu Hotel to Solaire Hotel, I can say that Solaire’s room is way better.
First, because they have the smoothest bed and pillow that I have ever tried from all the hotels that I went to.
Second their bathroom is wider plus it has a bathtub (although both doesn’t have a bidet). Third, the complimentary food are better in Solaire because besides the bowl of fruits they also have sweets.
Regarding the pool, I like Solaire’s pool more because it is bigger. But Nobu has a lot of picturesque landscapes that makes the ambiance more relaxing.
I haven’t seen Solaire’s spa area or gym but the one at Nobu looks nice on the other hand.
I did not try any of their SPA services, but I got the pricelist in case you’re interested.
We did not ate our breakfast at Nobu so I can’t compare it with Solaire’s buffet breakfast, maybe this will be one of the reasons to look forward to go back with the daddy soon.

I’ve heard and seen the Nobu Hotel and from what I gather it’s really expensive. Seeing the massage prices make it so obvious! Haha. But I’m glad you get to experience a 5-star hotel. That’s something to bank on 🙂
This is soo nice. Husband and I wanted to have a staycation and we will definitely add this in our list 🙂 Love the new look of your website, by the way 🙂
you’re so lucky! i love this place!
This place is amazing. I’ve never been here, nor in Solaire. I don’t know if we’ll ever even have the opportunity to visit this place. lol.
We’ve been looking for hotels for our son’s birthday staycation, but we recently scored a raket that took up our Saturdays. Rawr. I love the clean Asian vibe of the room. 🙂 But I agree on Maxim’s din. It has a more luxurious feel.
I haven’t been to Maxims, I need to check them out soon. Na curious ako 🙂
I love their garden, looks so relaxing at di mo aakalaing nasa gitna ka ng Metro Manila.
Now that school starts na, i guess your boy has maraming pang answer to the question “how was your summer like.” My boys told me once that they have noticed their teachers would ask them on the first few days of classes this kind of question so they always urge that we have at least one fun summer vacation. Ihihi.
COD’s just very near our home. I hope we get to try to have a staycation as well… Just for my family to experience it hihi
I also love the pool of Solaire. The room at Nobu looks underwhelming though. Hope you enjoyed your staycation. 😊
It’s my first time to hear about Nobu, I only know of Solaire but I’ve never stayed in either of them. I think I wouldn’t mind Nobu even if it doesn’t compare to Solaire, heehee. I would love to stay there if we’re given the opportunity.
Buti pinayagan kayo to stay in the pool area kahit kumikidlat
no May, hindi na kami pinayagan nung afternoon kaya nag take picture lang kami then umalis na. Morning na kami nag swim.
The place looks nice and cozy. You guys look like you had so much fun! 🙂
their spa services are awfully expensive. I do hope it is worth it though.
I’ll note this down for future staycation plans. 🙂
everything here are expensive haha
I’ve never been to either Solaire or Nobu Hotel, so it’s interesting to hear your comparisons. Even more interestingly is that I expected Nobu to win your comparison match because of its prestige and popularity. Glad to have come across this post for my own reference. Thank you for sharing!
I think I like the room in Maxim better because of the bigger beds lol! Mukhang maliit yun beds sa Nobu.
will check Maxim soon 🙂
Hay, parang ang sarap!!! 🙂 I want a staycation too! Hotel beds and pillows look so much comfier than what we have at home. Haha!
The place looks relaxing indeed! I agree with you about the picturesque landscapes; even the pool looks beautiful.
The room looks grand! I’m eager to check this out because it looks really different from the usual taupes, whites and browns of regular hotels.
My son is obsessed with hotels, while Randy and I are obsessed with buffet breakfasts, hehe.
my son is obsessed with pools naman haha
Oh wow! I can’t believe Solaire is better than Nobu! 🙂 They’ve always promoted Nobu as a post hotel.
We haven’t been to City of Dreams here in Manila but we’re interested to try one of the hotels one of these days. Thanks for this review!
Awww.. Why didn’t you eat breakfast? I’d like to try that sosyal bus too! Lol!
ang mahal! maybe next time.
