Practical Finds and Faith in Humanity Restored

Every time we’re at Festival Supermall, we always drop by our favorite place National Bookstore. We went there today after buying a small piece of cake at Red Ribbon because I am craving for one.

While Ren was at his fave spot reading books, I roamed around to check some writing notebooks for him this school year.

Since the school wants the notebook color coordinated, I chose the one with colors already. Here are two notebooks that I saw.

as you can see the Advance Notebook on the left is almost half the price of the Orion notebook on the right. They are both 80 leaves by the way.

As a practical mom, I have chosen the cheaper notebook.

While checking notebooks, I put down the cake box in one of the places inside the store. I went from one place to another… then I got comfortable and I forgot about the cake.

After a few minutes, I felt that there was something missing, I remembered holding something, then I remember the cake.

I went back to all the areas I went to, but I couldn’t find it. Oh no! my cake was missing.

I felt cold, I then went to Ren and told him that my cake was missing and somebody might have took it. He said, oh that’s wrong mom, where did you put it?

I can’t answer back because I don’t know the exact place where I put it down. I told him not to get mad at me because we don’t have a cake to bring home. He said, “it’s okay next time you need to be careful”.

When I was at the cashier, I asked the guard if he saw somebody went out with a cake. He said, “Red Ribbon po? nandun po sa customer service”. I was surprised, my face lit up.

We went to customer service immediately and viola we were reunited with our cake.

I can’t believe it, I thought that it’s gone already. I was blessed today. Akala ko may nagtakbo na sa kanya, may umagaw ng iba.

I was surprised…… naka move-on na ako e, gusto ko lang ng closure kaya ko tinanong yung guard.  May pag-asa pa pala, minsan dapat ipaglaban mo din at wag kaagad mag give-up. Malay mo nag-aantay lang pala sya na balikan mo #hugot
