Educate yourself about Autism
It was last 2013 when I posted about my son’s condition here (read why HERE)
I received a lot of inquiries about what we did to help him, how he is now, is he catching up with his peers? How did we handle all the trials? etc etc).
I answered them all one by one.
You might say that we’re doing great and Ren is fine, but to be honest with you we still have a long way to go in this journey.
I am lucky to have found a support group that I can talk to when I feel helpless, down, depress and just want someone to talk too. And there are times that I still cry and confused (especially if I overthink).
I want Ren to be an inspiration to the younger ones. He is still struggling to meet the community’s standard, but for us he is fine and we know he will do great with proper guidance.
Today, my husband did a video of him because April is Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month and also to better understand him and others who are in the spectrum. I hope you’ll take a time to watch it and also do some research and educate yourself.
