What’s New at Hong Kong Disneyland?

The family of my son’s schoolmate went to HongKong Disneyland a few days ago. They shared some pictures in social media that excites me to visit this place soon. We’re planning to do our first overseas trip this year and Hong Kong Disneyland is always on our list.

School vacation is just around the corner, and with my son’s hectic schedule I know he deserves a well deserved rest from school activities. I know you’re thinking the same thing too, where to go?!

I learned that Hong Kong Disneyland is celebrating their 10th Year Anniversary this year and they have a spectacular line up of activities, new attractions and of course awesome promos for the whole family.

If you have the budget already, then plan ahead and visit this place if you want to know why it is considered as one of the happy places on Earth.

What’s NEW? 

“Disney in the Stars” with all new Castle Projection

I learned that the “Disney in the Stars” fireworks show is now even more awe-some and amazing! Our favorite stories and characters from Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan and Cinderella will continue to regal us with their alluring beauty and animated antics, and they will be joined by some new friends.

New Disney characters will be making a debut appearance in the new projection show including Joy and Sadness from “Inside Out,” Nemo and Dory from “Finding Nemo” and the upcoming Disney animated film “Finding Dory”, Hiro and Baymax from “Big Hero 6,” and Lightning McQueen from “Cars,” exciting right?

I think my son who loves fireworks will be thrilled to see this.

Mickey and the Wondrous Book

It is said to be the largest ever production.  To give us an idea on what will happen here, I’ve read that Mickey Mouse and Goofy will open a magical book that opens on its own and out comes Olaf.

My son loves Olaf, the loving, positive thinking snowman. Then, Mickey need to ensure Olaf’s safe return to his story before he melts. This sneak peek looks like a complete stream of adventures, challenges and eventually – Happily Ever Afters.

That’s not all, you will encounter Baloo and King Louie in “The Jungle Book”; Ariel in “The Little Mermaid”; Rapunzel in “Tangled”; Merida in “Brave”; the Genie, Aladdin, Jasmine and Abu in “Aladdin”; Tiana and Louis in “The Princess and the Frog”; and of course in an epic finale and in true Disney “Happily Ever After” style, Princess Anna and Queen Elsa in “Frozen”.

It is exciting, isn’t it?

Fairy Tale Forest – Presented by PANDORA

Imagine yourself walking in a Fantasyland where you can enjoy an enchanted living forest.  It is an intricately designed maze set in a beautiful garden, presenting charming scenes and music from five cherished fairytales.  Tangled, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and The Little Mermaid and you can even come face-to-face with Tinkerbell here.

Disney Springtime Eggstravaganza

During spring time, the park will be transformed into an extravagant world.  There are over 70 Disney character themed eggs in every land – in gardens, up high on the buildings and even in the waterways from March 17 to May 29, 2016.

This looks like a fun activity for kids and even kids at heart.  There is a guide map for clues to your Egg-spedition. Good luck in finding all the eggs.
