Saan nag-aaral anak mo?
Saan nag-aaral anak mo? is the usual question that I get every time Ren and I are at a public vehicle and he starts talking.
To give you a little background, my son’s first language is English (read why here-mommylevy.com/2013/why-my-son-speaks-a-foreign-language.html ), and he speaks with an American accent.Β Since I have a Pinoy accent when talking to him in English, people thought that he learned it from school (well I can’t blame them).
I think most of you will agree with me that when a kid is “bibo”, matalino, mabait, masipag, magalang at madami pang mabubuting ugali, the first thing that other people will think is to ask for the name of the school that your kids went to.
But when a kid is rude, hyper active, hindi masaway, palaaway, annoying at madami pang bad behaviors, e ang sasabihin agad ano bang klaseng magulang nyan!
Unfair right?

Hi! I think I’ve been stalking you for a while now π
I am reading your posts and blogs looking for your experiences on schooling your child.
I am thinking of homeschooling my Hyperactive 5 year old daughter because at her age, she already experienced bullying from classmates and being hit by her teacher with an umbrella. Like most mothers, I want the best for my daughter. She stopped Grade1, continued behavioral therapy, and we are pushing through with the case we filed against the teacher.
I will continue reading your posts and blogs and I hope I will be able to decide what’s best for my daughter’s education.

Hi Lea,
I’m sorry about what happened to your daughter. I am glad to know that you are talking to a professional about your child hyperactivity already. Continue doing that and I’m sure you’ll see an improvement in her behavior soon. I suggest continue teaching her at home. Siya na magsasabi sayo if ready na sya bumalik sa school π

Thank you! That’s what I’ll do. I have been trying a lot of things to bring her interest back to school and yes, I guess waiting is the best thing to do considering the incident at school and its effects on her.

Parehas po Tayo , hindi naman sa pagyayabang or what .. He is my 1st son & until now one & only child .. baby palang ang anak ko nag decide na kami ng asawa ko na kakausapin namin sya ng by English , na as in yun na maging Mother Language nya .. aminin ko iβ m not perfect in English even my husband .. kahit magka nose bleed na kami sige parin , as long as tama pag pronounce namin at pagbitaw ng mga salita , still continue parin ..
now my son schooling in Learning School , he is 3 years old & 4 months .. Ganun parin English , eh di nakakasabay sya sa mga classmate nya na kasing edad nya na marunong din mag english ..
