DIWA Pasiklaban sa Paaralan

Last Saturday, my son and I went all the way to The Mind Museum to attend the press briefing of the 14th Pasiklaban sa Paaralan.  This quiz show intrigued me because this is the first time I’ve heard of it.

What is Pasiklaban sa Paaralan? According to them, Pasiklaban sa Paaralan is “The only ICT (Integrated Travelling Quiz Show in the Country).  It is a nationwide mobile interschool quiz competition on Science, Math, Languages, Literature and General Information.  It promotes the use of teachnology to make teaching and learning better.  It also intends to capitalize on the competitive nature of schools in order to give incentive and recognition for outstanding instruction for teachers and schools and dedication to hard work and planning for the students.

During the event, Mr. Armel Espiritu (VP Corporate and Marketing Communications) showed us how the Pasiklaban has evolved from when it started until now.

As you can see from the pictures below, before they were just using ordinary manila paper to tally the scores and NOW everything is already computerized.

The event were also graced by Rubert Stephen Charles Chua of Tarlac Montessori School who was the champion in the high school division and Joshua Abizier Marayag of Lorma Colleges in La Union in the Grade School Division for the year 2014-2015.

Pasiklaban sa Paaralan is a testament to the commitment of its organizer; DIWA Learning Systems Inc. to innovation. Pasiklaban saw how important it is for the students to have a fun learning environment that allows them to think critically and to develop their collaboration skill.
