Mommy Bloggers Philippines 1st Christmas Party
What do you miss every December?
Thank you for that wonderful question. I believe that December is the month of gift giving and spreading love. And that is what I miss, I thank you. (LOL… nonsense answer)
Well seriously, as a stay/work at home mom for many years now, what I miss during the month of December was the 13th month pay and Christmas bonus (mukhang pera ang peg?) And of course, the fun of joining the company’s Christmas Party. It is the time of the year where you have all the reasons to buy new sets of clothes, shoes and bags (shopaholic te?).
Christmas Parties for me was when you can showcase your hidden talents (tapos pagsisihan mong pinakita mo after), to show your fashionista side (ala Lady Gaga) and the thrill of raffles (yung tipong di ka makahinga sa kaba) and of course the exchange gifts (praying na hindi mug or towel makuha mo hahaha).
Those are the things I missed now that I am SAHM/WAHM. Gladly, I am part of a community that includes ALL the Mommy Bloggers in the Philippines. I say ALL because everyone is invited to join as long as you are a mommy blogger.
Mommy Lani Lyutz of tweenselmom.com was the one who organized this event. I don’t know how she did it, but I give her a slow clap for a job well done.

I was a little bit late when I arrived at the venue (Spaces By Babyland at Shaw). I was surprised that the venue was decorated nicely. It has a WOW! factor (ang lamig sa mata ng kulay at designs).
My co-mommy bloggers were enjoying the photo booth by YEAH, SHOOT PhotoBooth when I arrived (at sumingit talaga ako dito… look)
Mommy Joy of joybites.com was also already busy taking pictures (she was the official photographer).
And because I was a little (I need to emphasize this) bit late, I have no choice but to sit at the presidential table hahaha. My seatmate was Mommy Pehpot of www.pehpot.com who was also a little bit late… LOL nandamay.
The event started with a prayer and welcome remarks by Mommy Lani and Mommy Louisa of artofbeingamom.com who is also one of the event coordinators.

After that we had a “getting to know you” game. We were divided into 2 groups, we were given a piece of paper na may pang Ms. Universe question that we needed to answer in less than 30 seconds to ask everyone in the group. With the allotted time, our group was not able to meet everybody. I have a copy of the questions which I will try to answer each in my next post.

Then, the most awaited part (for me) was announced… EATING TIME!!!
We have 3 caterers: The Posh Caterer, Shekinah Dishes and Kubiertos Catering. Our desserts were from Love Desserts Thank you all for making my tummy shouting for joy. I was so full!
Then, our heart beat fast when the raffle started. This is the time where everyone was having the most fun of their lives and teasing each other. Sumakit panga at tyan ko kakatawa. I don’t like to go to the details why the mommies are giggling.
I was lucky enough to be picked and won a lotion from Cream FactoryPH.
Thank you Abenson Appliances for the Major prizes (a tablet and a TV). Sana next time ako naman makakuha hahaha.
We all went home with smiles on our faces and happy memories.

I will show to you what I’ve got once I retrieved the files from my camera. It’s acting up today kasi.
I believe that a community where you have other people who you can relate to is necessary to make you sane in this blogging world. I gained a lot of friends because of a community (Hello PMC) that I belonged to before. It is no longer active now, but I can still remember the people behind that group. I treasure them because they made a huge impact on my blogging career (snifff… sniff).
With this new breed of mommy bloggers, I will gain more friends and learn new things. I am looking forward for more intimate gatherings with all of you. Let’s make this blogging world a happy place 🙂
