Mcdo Kiddie Crew: List of Activities for 5 days
I learned about the Mcdonald’s Kiddie Crew workshop last year 2011 when my niece joined one of their workshops. Look at Ren back then he was still a cute little boy, I think he was 3 years old here.
Mcdonald’s as I have mentioned in my previous post is yearly hosting Kiddie Crew workshops and I am glad that my son have experienced how to become one this year.
There are 2 schedules that you and your kid can choose from: 9-11am and 3-5pm.
We have chosen the session in the afternoon because Ren has a therapy session in the morning twice a week and I also have a tutorial session (just 1 kid left) every morning MWF.
Since we reside at Daang Hari in Molino Cavite, I choose the Mcdo store here at EVIA. Β Feeling ko kasi kunti lang tao dito at puro drive thru ang customers π
I was surprised that there are more students enrolled in this last batch compared last week. Β I inquired last week on the number of students and the manager said that there were only 4 kids enrolled. Β For the last leg, there are 10 kids enrolled including Ren.
I am glad that most of the kids enrolled are studying from an International School here in Cavite which make it easy for Ren to talk or understand them. Sabi ng instructor na nose bleed daw sya sa batch na’to
Day1: After introducing themselves to the instructor they were asked to do some On-the Floor Jobs at the Counter (Cashier, Drink Station, Drive Thru Station and McCafe Station) and then they went to the dining station to clean some tables and throw it on the trash can.
Wherever Ren go I was there too. I can’t leave him alone with the other kids and the Mcdo Crew because there are a lot of hot stations at the counter and I am so afraid that he might touch any of it. I am glad that he didn’t touch any without the instructor telling him to do so.
After the On-the-Floor training, the kids played in one room. Then they ate the food prepared for the day: Spaghetti with Juice
I considered the 1st day as the most tiring day for me. Di kasi ako mapakali kakabantay kay Ren π
Day2: This was the lightest day for me. They did not go to the counter this day. They just stayed in one room and they played and dance. Their activities for this day was Arts and Crafts using their Aprons.
Day3: One hour was spent at the counter and then the next one hour was spent making a cheeseburger and more kulitan and dancing. This time, I am more familiar with the activities at the counter so I am ready for anything that Ren mightΒ do.
He felt tired after 40 minutes of switching stations, and that surprised me. He just sat in a chair and told me that “it’s hard to work Mama, it’s very tiring”. So I asked him to go back to the room and rest.
When the kids arrived, even though I know he is still tired he joined the group and didΒ the things that the instructor asked them to do (which is to make Cheeseburgers).
This is the first time that he ate a Mcdo Cheeseburger. He put pickles and onion there and I was surprised that he finished it all.
Day4: We were absent this day, I asked Ren to just rest. I heard from the other kids that they practiced singing and dancing today.
Day5: I will update this post after the recognition day tomorrow π
UPDATE:
Today (May 30, 2014) was supposed to be the RECOGNITION DAY of Ren. We went there early to practice the song and dance that they were going to perform. We were surprised that the crew said that the Recognition day was moved to 11am to 1pm, because there was a birthday party at 3pm. They said that they informed the kids last Thursday, but since we were absent last Thursday, no one contacted and inform us regarding this change of schedule.
I am pissed off (totally pissed off!). Today is the final and the most important day of all and we were not even there. I brought with me our DSLR Camera and videocam to shoot my son but unfortunately it was all for nothing.
As far as I know, a birthday party is usually scheduled 2 or more weeks earlier, then why is it that they changed the schedule of the recognition day 1 day before the said event.
Sorry for this rant, but I want to be honest with all of you.
Just a tip, if you are planning to enroll your kids next summer for Mcdo Kiddie Crew, ask the manager if there will be any changes in the schedule of the Recognition day. It is better to ask them first than be surprised if there will be a change of schedule later on.
I am planning to celebrate Ren’s birthday party at Mcdo Evia branch, but now I am thinking of changing the venue. That’s just how mad I am right now.
I was very wrong to choose Mcdonald’s at Evia Daang Hari branch.

I can’t wait for my baby to be one of their crew members. I know she’ll enjoy it and learn a lot. This will be a good experience for her.
