My Son’s Swimming Class at Milo Summer Sports Clinic
I believe that a person needs sports or physical exercise in order to build a strong mind and body. Sports boost confidence and kids get to interact with other children.
When I was a young girl, you can barely see me inside the house. I was with the kids in the neighborhood playing whatever we can under the sun. I believe that’s what caused Β my skin to be dark.
In today’s digital world, going out and doing something physical is already a challenge for both adults and young kids.
As much as possible, I want my son to experience the fun and also the pain I had during my childhood since I know because of that, I am what I am today- a tough person who knows how to deal with others.
That is why I am glad that Milo is one of this blog’s sponsors and they gave us an opportunity to try the Milo Summer Sports Clinic with a class of our choice.
I asked Ren what he wanted to do, and I gave him 3 options: Taekwondo, Karate and Swimming. Why these three, you may ask? Because as a mom, I felt that these are all life saving sports that he may use in the future to protect himself.
He chooses swimming and we agreed.
We just started this week. Our first session was last Tuesday, and I am glad that our very own subdivision was included on the accredited area. It is just a walking distance from the house. Their schedule is TTHS from 7-8am.
As of now, we only had 1 session, since the session was cancelled last Thursday because they needed to clean the pool.
There are 2 coaches per session and Ren was on the Beginner Class.
On the first day, Ren was taught how to breathe, make bubbles from the mouth, kick and paddle.
I am glad that the little boy followed the coach’s instructions, it’s just that sometimes he feels too excited and wanted to go to the deep water agad agad.
Oh by the way, if you have plans to enroll your kids in swimming classes, make sure that they have goggles and if they were assessed as beginners, a swim board is also needed.
I hope that after completing the 10 sessions, my son will be able to swim in deep water (which I don’t know how by the way).
