Give #Selfie a break, now it’s time to have a #Famfie
I just got back from a tiring adventure yesterday I will tell you more about it on my next post.
For today, I will be talking about this latest craze in town called #Famfie.
Where does this term came from? First, who doesn’t know about the term selfie here? I bet you all know it. Even I who is just new in Instagram knew it.
No wonder that two places in Metro Manila are even declared as the “Selfie Capital of the Philippines” according to Time Magazine.
The term Famfie is just like selfie too, except that besides you and your beautiful face, you need to include two or more members that you consider as part of your family.
Famfie simply means Family + Selfie.
Famfie is not exclusive to blood related members, it can also be your barkada, officemates, teammates, mga “kasambahay”, employees, “kapitbahay” etc.
Here is my version of #famfie 🙂
You all know me as one of the mommy bloggers here in the Philippines, I’ve been blogging since 2009 and I have gained a lot of friends online. We had a big exclusive community before but now it is already gone, but we are still fine, kicking and doing great.
The online friends and acquaintances that I have are still there. I consider them as my family because I know we value and cherish each other.
Every time there is an opportunity to meet up, we usually catch up with each other’s lives and laugh like there is no tomorrow. Being with them made me forget the time and stress that comes with motherhood and household chores.
The pictures above are incomplete, I still have lots of online friends and acquaintances that were not in the pictures and that is my version of #famfie.
Please note that Famfies are suppose to be just like selfies that you are the one holding the camera while taking the shot, some of these pictures are not self taken because I can not find one that includes all of my online family.
Now, I want to see your own version of #famfie, you might just win a special prize from Jollibee if you will share it on instagram and twitter. Just tag @Jollibee and use the hashtag #famfie.
