7 Activities I want to do with my family this 2014
It’s nice to plan for things we want to do this new year. It gives us direction on what we want to achieve for the whole year. My family are home bodies, my son and husband wants to always stay at home and because of that, I am forced to stay also.
But honestly, sometimes my feet feels itchy and I ask for a “me” time from hubby and he lets me have it naman.
I felt 2013 was over too fast, it came and went like a blur… I felt that we haven’t had many adventures last year.
That is why, this 2014 I want to list down some of the things I want to do with my son and with my husband. This will help me to have something to look forward to this coming year. It is a dream and I wish to fulfill it before 2014 ends.
Here they are:
Do the gardening together – I have to admit, our front yard is a mess hahaha…. Walang kaayos ayos pa talaga, I have a few plants but it is not put in a proper way, ang sakit sa mata. I want to hire a landscaper to make it pretty, but I decided that doing it by ourselves will be a nice bonding activity for me and Ren. I think Noel will be the supervisor and guide us how to do it haha.
Visit a Beach this Summer – If Ren wants to swim, we can always go to our Clubhouse and have him dip in the pool.
But, I know that the beach is better than a swimming pool. That is why this 2014, I plan to bring my family to a nearby beach this summer. I want him to create sand castles and enjoy pretend playing with it. I don’t like the sea so much honestly because I am not a good swimmer so I am afraid of the open sea. It is also salty and my eyes hurt whenever I swim. But, I want my son to experience it so I will bring them this Summer to a beach.
See you soon Aquaria Beach Resort 🙂
Have a weekly videoke – Last Dec. 31, my Lola had her house blessed… while waiting for the Priest to arrive, my cousins were entertaining themselves with Videoke. Then they asked Ren to sing and without hesitation my son did.
They were surprised that he can read the lyrics and is not shy to get the mic and sang his heart out. That is why this 2014, I want him to develop his singing voice because he might have a chance in having a singing career (with me as his coach hahaha).
Have a Staycation – Ren always enjoy staying in a hotel. He loves the pool, the food, the soft bed and pillows and unlimited watching on cable haha. I hope we will have some money to spare and have a staycation in a hotel nearby this 2014.
I wish to celebrate our birthday here:
Watch Movies in the Cinema – maybe at least 3 movies this year. This will help Ren get used to dark places and loud sounds.
Teach Ren more Tagalog Words – I plan to create a flash card with pictures of different tagalog words since he is a Visual learner. This will prepare him for Grade 1 this coming school year.
Have a monthly date with hubby – Last year 2013, hubby and I didn’t have a “date time”. I think we just went out just the 2 of us once or twice. Maybe it’s because we find dating a waste of money, and would just rather spend it on Ren.
Who can blame us, we are both staying/working at home and we are always with each other (just a table away hahaha) everyday. But I know staying together doesn’t mean you are always romantically together. I feel that dating is still needed to make our marriage strong. I don’t know I just feel that I need it, and a “once a month” date I think is okay. We can always have a weekly movie night if we want to save moolah.
Ren will be celebrating his 7th birthday this year. I am nervous because I don’t know yet if I can throw a big birthday party for him. Well, I want to and I’ve been planning for it since September last year. But there are some circumstances that hinder me in doing that. My son deserves to have a party, on what kind of party is still the question on my mind.
How about you, what are the activities you plan to do with your family this 2014?

Wow buti pa kayo may garden. What plants do you have? More on vegetables, flowers or just leaves?
My cousin also does not know how to talk in Tagalog so my uncle and aunt is seriously training him in prepartion for the coming school year.

Small garden lang Roch. Sa harap gusto namin mga bulaklak lang at bermuda grass. Sa likod may malunggay kami sa Ashitaba 🙂
