Bento for the week: September 9-14, 2013
I have not completed this weeks Bento for my son π tinamaan lang ng katamaran).Β Β Yes, even though I am making a simple bento, there are times that I feel lazy and opt to these reliable snacks for Ren – Dutch Mill and Gardenia Cream Roll in Mangoes and Cream flavor.
Here are some Bento designs that I was able to make for Ren this week.
WEDNESDAY –Β It consists of Bola-bolang Galunggong, rice, grapes, cheese and carrots.Β This was my first time to make a bola-bolang galunggong.Β I just mixed the galunggong fillet with flour, carrots (thinly sliced) and eggs.Β I then formed it to a bite sized ball and fried it using canola oil. Β I am glad that Ren loved it. I also used small cut nori for the eyes.
THURSDAY– I attended a Jolly Cow event last Wednesday.Β They gave us some Fresh Milk to try, so I decided to include it with Ren’s baon this day.Β Β He loves the creaminess of this milk and he even likes his white mustache after drinking it.
It consists of banana bread (I will get back to you on the name of the store at Shangrila Mall where I bought this), Green apple that hubby helped me to carve and some grapes.
SATURDAY- They have no classes this day.Β It was the releasing of Ren’s Progress report.Β But after going to the school, I decided to create a hamburger snack at home.Β It consists of burger, cheese, lettuce, tomato plus pineapple tidbits and some star cereals and of course nori for the black parts of the face.
Next week, I hope to create more bento for Ren, so wish me luck π

Hi Mommy Levy! π
I’m an avid ‘stalker’ of your blog, but this is my first time to comment. I love your bento creations! I also ‘attempt’ doing bento stuff for my nursery student but not quite as successful with my hands. Hehe. Where do you get your nori? I’m also from Cavite, available ba sya sa groceries? π
