Things you need to know about child modeling
When my son was like 1 to 2 years old, I liked having him join photo contests or any baby contests. That is because, for me, he is the cutest baby in the world and I would like the people to know na itong ordinaryo di naman kagandahang nilalang ay may gwapitong anak (that this ordinary not so pretty woman has a handsome little boy) hahaha.
I joined him in a SM Star Baby Photo Contest, but unfortunately he didn’t win and also in Pinoy Smile, a photo contest online wherein he won 1st prize, and a lot more other contest that I can’t remember now. Yes I admit I consider myself to be a stage mom at that time.
I know that a lot of new moms also wanted to have their baby show up in a magazine, billboards and other media to show how cute they are.
Here are some tips from cbsnews.com to help you learn a few things you need to know about child modeling
- Babies don’t have to be perfect, but they do need to have beautiful features, such as clear skin, bright eyes, great hair, and an easy smile.
- Don’t pay for professional photos, which often look too posed. Don’t dress your child up or hide his or her hair under a hat.
- Don’t include props in the picture either. The best pictures are of babies wearing only diapers or maybe a simple dress or shirt, sitting on the floor with virtually nothing in the background. No earrings, no bows, just a clean baby in an unfrilly outfit.
With this, here is an opportunity that you can join to help your kids be a model.
