Like mother like daughter

During the Holy Week, I just stayed home most of the day.  I had the chance to reflect on my life, and one of my realization was that my mom and I are the same in some ways.

• We are both patawa/ alaskador (what’s the english term of these words?) –  She tells joke that are sometimes funny and sometimes annoying just like me.
• Both of us speaks what’s on our minds –  In other words, frank and tackless (well she is better in doing this, I am more of the shy type hahaha).
• Both of us are born to sell stuffs –  When we were kids, she sold various stuffs to earn an extra income.  I also do that now, I am into direct selling and real estate to have some extra income. On her 3 children, I am the only one who have the guts to do this.
• We both like to be in the limelight – On the neighborhood where she resides, she is the Barangay treasurer, she is an El-Shaddai’s Coordinator and she likes to always go to City Hall to who knows what’s her business there.  When I was in College, I love joining various clubs and showing off some talents (yes believe it I have a few of them hahaha).

I think there are lots more that we have in common, but the ones mentioned above are just few of the things that I remember right now.

I know my son will get some of the traits that I have, I am seeing some of them now.  I’m feeling scared already hahaha!
