A mother’s journey to staying fit and healthy Part2
After I found out the truth about my weight and bad cholesterol level (read here) , I said
For a week, I tried to gradually change my diet and lifestyle. It’s a good thing that my family is very supportive of me. My husband, who before lets me take a bar of chocolate every grocery time, now reminds me to take vegetables and fruits instead, and also protein rich foods.
Why Protein you may ask? Well, we found out that protein foods like egg, chicken, lean meat and beans produce a chemical that signals our brain to feel fuller compared to Carbohydrates rich foods. Of course, I can’t say goodbye to rice yet, so what I do is to just lessen my intake of it. From 2 cups per meal, I am trying hard to cut it to 1 cup or even better ½ cup of rice every meal.
Since we just transfer from Manila to Cavite, I am so busy cleaning and arranging the house. I don’t have any helper besides my mom who occasionally visits us, that makes me the primary person who is in charge to do all the household chores. Arranging all our things is not a joke, but this transition helps me to MOVE more than ever.
As of now, we still don’t have a fast and reliable internet connection yet so I am not tempted to stay in front of the computer for so long which equals to sitting down all day long.
I am very much concerned on the level of my bad cholesterol which is higher than normal. I hope that by taking C-Lium Fiber everyday will help it get back to normal once again.
|For more information about C-Lium, check out http://www.clium.com.ph/LM/faq/Faqs.html|
Compared to Oatmeal, C-Lium has 14x more fiber which helps lower bad cholesterol levels that reduces the risk of heart disease.
I swear that taking C-Lium helps my bowel movement regularized. C-Lium is not a laxative, so there is nothing to worry to go to CR often when you take it.
On my 2nd week (Part III), I will share more things on my journey on getting fit and healthy again so stay tuned for it.
