First time at C2 Classic Cuisine
Last Sunday after going to the church, we went to Robinson’s Ermita to have dinner. Hubby and I can’t choose where to dine in (it is because we are still full). As I have said before we love to try unique dishes from restaurants we never tried before. So, when we saw C2 Classic Cuisine that is not fully loaded, we hopped in quickly.
Classic Cuisine (Also known as C2) offers Filipino food with a twist. They compiled the most loved Filipino cuisines in every region and put some different styles which make their dishes unique.
The very nice waitress gave us their menu and I was surprised on how expensive their dishes are, but the waitress said that all of their servings are good for 3 persons which somehow made their price list reasonable. As I said, we are still full (which hubby and I forgot that we already ate rice before going to the church), which is why we can’t choose what to to order. Good thing I saw their Valentine Promo that is still available until the end of Love month so we decided to try it instead.
We ordered the Lover’s set menu which consist of
Inasal Rice (100+) |
Sisig express (275) |
Tortang Alimasag (275) |
and this comes with a FREE strawberry Souffle (145) and 2 Pandan drinks (70 each), all of these for only P749.00. We also ordered Sago’t Gulaman (80) for my Ren.
The inasal rice is very tasty and a little bit oily which made us feel full after just a few bites. The sisig is crunchy and it’s a good thing that I can tolerate the spiciness although it’s a little bit oily too. It’s been a long time when I last ate crab, which is why we were excited to taste the tortang alimasag. The Tortang Alimasag as I thought will be served with the shell still on it, but I was surprised that it was not there already. The taste is okay, hubby even ate my left over which triggered his allergic reaction on seafood. He forgot that he was allergic to it, since it was really been a long time when we have eaten crab. (what happened to him will be on my next post).
We have not finished the servings since it’s so heavy and that we were already full. So, we just asked the friendly crew to wrap it so that we can bring it home. Finally, the strawberry Souffle was served. Honestly I have never tasted a Souffle before, I asked the waitress if they can wrap it too but they said that they don’t have a special container to put it in, so we have no choice but to eat it there. When it was served I realized why is it hard to pack, it is because it may look hard and fluffy but when you scoop it, it has sauce inside. It is mushy but I tell you it is very delicious. One shuffle is not enough for the two of us, since it’s so yummy!
Noel and I enjoyed our stay in C2, and next time we will try their best dishes in their menu.
