Traumatic Day
It was a nice morning. Besides my sister being at the house that day, I considered everything as ordinary. Ren and I as our usual pattern will commute going to school. I was looking forward to go back home after we arrive at school because I don’t want to miss the Ms.Universe coronation.
Unfortunately, everything turned gray, blue and black in just a few minutes after we hopped on our subdivision’s shuttle. We got into accident.
A reckless homeowner with a gold Toyota Avanza just popped out of nowhere, the shuttle driver hit the break and since we were the only passengers at the back, we flew in front. My son hit his head while I just saw myself on the floor. I can’t even recall where I hit myself.
Neighbors went out who heard the loud cry of my son. I can’t blame the shuttle driver for hitting the break hard because he knew he’ll hit the car if he didn’t. The owner of the Avanza just left saying that it was the fault of our driver. The poor shuttle driver can’t do anything but to accept it and just brought us to the nearest hospital.
Ren had his head x-rayed, and thank God the result was okay.
I on the other hand, did not notice any pain or bruises on my body when we went home, not until when we’re about to sleep and I felt a strong pain on my right arm and shoulder. Upon checking, gosh! I saw this… ang laki ng pasa ko sa braso.
I reported the incident to our Property Manager (under Global Land Property Management), and he told me that they will investigate what happened…. unfortunately, this is the 3rd day after the incident and there’s still no update about it.
Being in an accident can be traumatic. Thank God that we are safe and we just had light injuries. Mas naiistress ako sa action ng mga tao sa nangyari. They took it lightly din.
But I know we need to continue with our lives and move on. This post is my way of letting go of the emotional pain that I felt.
I asked the Property Manager if we can put CCTV cameras along the main road to protect the people or humps to minimize speeding vehicles. But it seems the management doesn’t take this suggestion seriously.
So people, we just need to take care of ourselves well on our own and don’t depend on others.
I hope we could get our own car soon.
