Day2: Trip to Universal Studios Singapore
On our second day at Singapore, my husband woke up with sore toes, so he decided to wear slippers (glad I brought him a pair). We had our breakfast at Toastbox at the nearby mall – One KM. There is a Toastbox store in the Philippines already but it was in this trip that we were able to first try it.
You can go to Universal Studios by buses, taxis or MRT, we decided to take the latter and ride a cable car from HarbourFront station. We took the Mount Faber Line + Sentosa Line for $33 per head + $1/head for roundtrip.

The cable car gave us a glimpse of how beautiful this small country is from above. You’ll see amazing beaches and the entire Sentosa island. It was not terrifying at all, believe me because my husband who’s afraid of heights enjoyed the ride too. It was an awesome journey! (here’s a video of the place)
We passed by Sentosa going to Universal Studios. We saw a bigger Merlion Statue there. If only we have more time, Sentosa is a nice place for kids too. Make sure to bring your swimsuits with you because they have a lot of pools and water activities in the area.
i love this colorful post-it. One message for Singapore = 1 Free Tattoo sticker

on the way to Universal Studios. This is the Resorts World
I love this colorful Merlion at Resorts World
Then we arrived at our most awaited destination – Universal Studios Singapore
The ticket to this attraction is quite expensive, per head is around $74 (around P2,500). We arrived around 11am here on a Monday morning. We were expecting lesser tourists since it’s Monday but we were wrong. Maybe these people were also thinking the same thing.
This is a huge place, if you have kids with you or people who needs wheel chair, don’t worry if you forgot to bring one because they have some for rent.
single stroller $15, double stroller $20, wheelchair $15, electric vehicle $50
We saw the following:
Ernie, Oscar and Cookie Monster, greeted us in the Holywood area. They performed some songs (stay tuned for our video).
We were entertained by these beautiful ladies from Mel’s Drive-in. You need to watch them perform. I’m sure you’ll feel like you had a blast from the past.
Our fave city because of the 4D battle of Evac and the Autobots vs the Decepticons. Ren loves it here, he raves about it often. This is a must try on your visit here.
we fell in line to try these heart wrecking roller coasters but we became impatient with the long que, we decided not to pursue (ubos oras).
There’s a souvenir store in every area. My son loves robots so this area caught his attention. Unfortunately we can’t avoid converting the price to peso. We thought that the price is cheaper in the Philippines so we decided to not buy him any here. I’m glad that the boy understands it.
we’ve fallen in line to experience a river boat ride with the Madagascar main characters: Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria.
welcome to Ancient Egypt. I love these Egyptian monuments, so epic!
Sayang, we were not able to try any rides in this part of Universal Studios but we enjoyed taking pictures.
this zone is for fans of the two blockbuster movies, sayang we were not able to try any rides here too.
At the Far Far Away area, we were able to try the Enchanted Airways. It is a roller coaster that is good enough for kids and those who are afraid for big rides.
Ren’s ninong before we bid goodbye bought some souvenir and he gave some for Ren π what a lucky boy
Simple advice to those who are planning a trip here I suggest that you get the express pass ticket. As you can see, because of time constrain we were not able to try the other rides and attractions because of the long que. The Human and Cyclone roller coasters can take an hour of your time. If you get the express pass you only have to wait for 5-15 minutes. It will save you more time and because of that you will be able to try the rides you like again and again. I think the express pass is around $100+ per head
Also, don’t forget to bring your water, a lot of it. Water bottles in Singapore are costly (around $3/500ml), there are drinking fountains in this area but it’s not cold.
Another thing, be there early to beat the crowd in line.
It might be pricey, but the experience is one of a kind and truly unforgettable so try it.

Next time I go to SG I’m totally getting inside Universal and ride the cable car haha. During our first time there we just loitered outside universal to take pictures ‘cos the ticket is too expensive and we’re got too lazy to explore #suchTitas. XD

This is the biggest reason why we want to go back to SG. The last time we went there, the construction for Universal Studios was still ongoing. Ang tagal na nun! π
