Our Crosswinds Resort Suites Tagaytay Staycation
Mom, Dad can we go here every weekend? This is what my son said upon knowing that it’s time to go back to school and to our place in Cavite after our short getaway at Crosswinds Resort Suites Tagaytay.
Last Sunday, we went to Crosswinds Resort Suites Tagaytay. It is in celebration of my son’s 8th birthday.Β Time flies so fast and life is too short that we want to create memories while we still can.
My husband and I believe that it’s okay to work hard to have something to pay for the bills but splurging for a quality time once in a while is something we don’t need to be guilty of.
As a homeowner of a Vista Land property, I am familiar with Crosswinds Tagaytay. It is under the Brittany group wherein they are the one who offer high-end/ sophisticated houses.

OUR ROOM
I availed of a Studio room that is 40sqm with a fully equipped kitchen. I bought it from Deal Grocer last July for P2,850.00 (room only). It was the most affordable room with a great view I’ve seen on that deal site.Β The published rate of a studio room according to the receptionist is P6,000.00

The room has 2 double sized beds. There is nothing special with the bed and pillow, but it’s okay. I still prefer Solaire Resort’s bed and pillows.
I was surprised that they do not only have a flat TV for viewing but they also offer a DVD player. You can bring your favorite movies if you want to have a movie marathon here.

The CR is okay, alleluia they have installed a bidet. I was not expecting that they have this because most of the hotels we went to don’t have it. Plus I have read a review from a fellow blogger (sorry forgot who) and one of her/his concerns was the lack of bidet in the bathroom. I’m happy that they are listening to their guests’ feedback.
They also have a complete set of bathroom essentials such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving kit, shower cap and hair dryer.
The fully equipped kitchen is what made our stay different here.
I’m glad that I read blogs and reviews about this place before going there. Bloggers who went here already said that we can bring our own food (with no corkage fee) and if we like, we can cook food using the hotel’s kitchen essentials.
What we did upon arriving at Tagaytay was go to Summit Ridge where the Robinson’s Supermarket is located and we bought some food to cook here.
I decided to bring our own rice and egg. Then we bought bacon, corned beef, chicken nuggets, oil, lettuce, watermelon, juice and some chips at Robinsons Supermarket.
The hotel has a rice cooker, a pan, 2 casseroles,Β chopping board, plates, bowls, glasses, cups, 2 sets of spoon, fork and bread knife. I used the bread knife to slice the onion for my corned beef since I can’t find any knife. I’m glad that I got the corned beef that is ready to open since I can’t find a can opener too.
Take note that if you did not bring a car (just like us), it will be hard for you to look for a place to dine inside Crosswinds. They only offer set breakfast for the guests in the morning. It’s better to just bring your own food upon checking in.
They also have complimentary coffee, bottled water and tea.

THE AMENITIES
As I have mentioned, we did not bring a car when we visited this place. I learned that you can commute going here from Alex of www.recyclebinofamiddlechild.com .
Just like his instructions, we just rode a tricycle from Olivarez to Crosswinds. Upon arrival, there is a guard at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and we just told him that we needed a shuttle to pick us up.
The shuttle is FREE for use within the property from 8am to 6pm. Just advise the Front Desk ahead of time for your requested schedule.
It’s unfortunate that it was raining when we went there, we were not able to dip in the pool and play on the playground but these places are quite far from the main hotel. Without a shuttle or a car, I find it impossible to visit.
Around, 4PM in the afternoon we decided to stroll around the place. We saw the Santa’s Place. I don’t know what’s inside the house though.
Beside it is a store, but they are fixing the stuff inside so we did not bother to check it also.
THE SURROUNDINGS
One of the things I consider in choosing a place to visit is the scenery. Here at Crosswinds Resort Tagatay, you will not be disappointed. You’ll see and smell pine trees perfuming the air.
The view of rolling hills and the luxurious houses and condos makes this place so picturesque.
VERDICT
We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a perfect destination after a hectic and toxic schedule from office or school. I can say that the price of our room is worth it. We will definitely go back here. I’m planning to bring my mom next time. In my opinion, this place is way better than Taal Vista.

HOW TO GET THERE?
For those with a car – just follow the road to People’s Park. Crosswinds Resort is just after the Picnic Grove. Take the Santa Rosa Exit since it’s nearer than Aguinaldo Highway. Here is a map to guide you.
For Commuters – Take a bus going to Tagaytay. Drop off at Olivarez and ride a tricycle or a jeep going to Crosswinds. The tricycle fare is P80.00 while for the jeep, it cost us P14.00 per head.

Is the pool for free or with extra charge?
How did you manage to stroll in the place without a car? Is the pool too far from the Unit? Planning to go there, we don’t have car too. Thanks
yes the pool is too far from the hotel. They have a shuttle service that can drive you there and perhaps pick you up too.

Do I have to call crosswinds first to confirm our date of arrival and time para sa shuttle?
Or is it OK to talk to the guard directly sa coffee bean or tea leaf when we arrive on that day?

Did you already email them to reserve the date of your booking? You can ask the guards for shuttle pick up once you arrived at the area.
