A Simple Robot Themed Birthday Party
My little baby just turned 8 today. It feels like just yesterday when I’m still carrying and breastfeeding him on my arms. Waaaaaa, it seems that 8 years flies sooooo fast.
Last year, he had a Transformer Birthday Party in school and everyone had a lot of fun. I like it when his classmates go home happy with full stomachs and with all the giveaways they’ve got.
This year, he wanted to have a Lego, Tobot, Power Rangers and Transformer party. So, we decided to just make it to a Robot Party (para sama-sama na).
I did not do a bento meal for the kids this year. With our hectic schedule (final exams, followed by Science Report and Linggo ng Wika celebration), I decided to just buy the food for the kids and teachers.
I bought a Jollibee Kids Meal for the kids. I got the 1 piece Chickenjoy with a toy. The new Jollibee Kids Meal box is too cute that I don’t care going to 3 different stores here in Cavite looking for available stocks. I’m glad that Jollibee created this cool looking box.
For the parents, yayas, teachers and school staff, I bought a Pancit Malabon, Pancit Palabok, Spaghetti and Biko from Lolievic’s Short order & Native Delicacies. I love their kakanin, they have friendly crews and they offer free delivery.
I decided to get cupcakes instead of a whole cake because it’s easier for the kids to eat or bring home if they want. I bought Ren’s cupcakes from Cupcake Babies by Dyann who also made his Transformers cake last year. The cupcakes are moist with just enough sweetness. The cupcake toppers design was made by my husband.
I bought COGO toys for all the kids. I used it for the game, wherein the first one to finish building it will win a prize (even if they win or lose they can bring it home).
For Giveaways, besides the Jollibee toys (ambulance, school bus and firetruck), we also prepared DIY boxes with some goodies inside for the kids to bring home. My husband drew a robot design on the box.
I’m glad that because of the activities prior to Ren’s birthday celebration, the school offered to use the schools backyard with tent. It was a nice area, because it was raining today and it is more spacious than doing the party inside the classroom.
There will be a long weekend ahead, we need to relax and recharge after all the school activities and on Sunday we will be in Tagaytay for a birthday staycation.
My husband and I were blessed to have Ren in our lives and we will be forever grateful to the Lord for his existence.
