The author of this blog reached her 30 years of existence!

Time flies really fast the girl who then wearing just her underwear playing outside the house and imagining herself to be a doctor (since that was the only career she knew back then) is now a stay at home mom wearing pajama or plain t-shirts with holes while staying in front of computer.

What happened to this girl and why she ended up being a stay at home mom?

Growing up in a poor family with only her mom as the only one who works for a living ever since she lost her dad when she was only 9 yrs. old, add to that that she has a small brother and a sister that was left behind, going to school looks impossible. But her mom knew that this little girl was ambitious and is persevere to finish her studies that is why she strive very hard to give this girl all the things that she needed to finish her schooling.

This girl, just like any ordinary girl experienced all the ups and downs in school. She has been bullied for a while, then transformed herself to be the bully herself. She made a lot of friends and also some suitors along the way. She had crushes like any other normal girls and had a puppy love at a very young age of 12. She experienced being in love and also felt heartaches after a while. Thanks to those lessons, her qualifications in a man, became higher.

In school, she managed to pass all the trials and hardships whether it’s financially or emotionally.  Come year 2000, she finished her college degree and she made her mom proud.

After college life, this young lady wanted to give back what her mom did for her. That’s why only days after graduation, she was already looking for a job while everyone else is still having their vacation from school or enjoying their newly graduated life. She understood that as being the eldest in the family, she is now responsible for her siblings and their monthly expenses. She faced hardships again by looking hard for available jobs that do not needed much experience. Although she was so tired in wearing skirts and stiletto shoes while riding the jeep and bus for a scheduled interview which mostly ended up with “tatawagan ka na lang” (we will just call you) she kept her spirits up and never gave up. Every time she heard those words, she will just say to herself “your company doesn’t know what you’re missing”, these words kept her head high at the end of the day.

Finally, she landed on her first job as an accountant thanks to her now sister in law who advised her to apply on the company she was with without informing anybody that they knew each other. Although being an accountant is not her field since she graduated as a management student, she strive hard to learn the system and within her 3 years in the company, she was promoted 3 times too. She was able to get the highest position in the accounting department “the bookkeeper” before she decided to quit the job.

On her 3 years on the 1st company she worked with, she had the chance to transform their ruined house to a stronger and safer home. She even bought appliances for her mom to help her in her everyday household chores. Also every New Year, she made it a point to share her blessings with her relatives in the province. She yearly throws games and gave items for them to enjoy.

Thinking that she already gave a comfortable place for her mom, she and her boyfriend decided to get married. But, they agreed that as the eldest and also because her siblings are not yet finished in their schooling yet, they will still help her brother and sister financially. A year after the proposal, the young woman and her boyfriend pledged their vows at the altar of her dream church (the Manila Cathedral).

She then worked with lots of company, and she learned a lot from different people she had worked with. She had friends and foes along the way, and had dealt with some company politics.

Financially, this young woman became vulnerable to temptation. She became a shopaholic and did not thought of what the future might bring. She spent a lot in material things and ended up in distress after doing so. This maybe her greatest trial but when she was blessed with a super adorable baby boy after 2 years of getting married, she then promised herself that from then on, every penny will be spent wisely.

She did not hesitate to quit her job even though she is still at the top of her career life for her son. Do you think doing that made her a good mom and wife? That’s a big no no! Still she is doing her best to be one and that her son and husband will be proud of her.

Now, this woman has already reached her middle life, she may not have a car on her own or a house with a chandelier or even a booming business but still she is contented with what she has. She is blessed with a wonderful family, a loving and smart husband and a charming son. Together the 3 of them will face the future with a smile and will surely pass all the trials that will come their way.

This woman is proud to say that after reaching her 30 years of existence in this wonderful world, she is now smarter, more generous and will do her best to do good to others!
