A successful Birthday Party at Grace to be Born
Grace to be born is a ministry for saving the unborn child from abortion. It is a sanctuary for unwed pregnant mothers in crisis who once thought of abortion but were convinced to enter the shelter. It also serves as on orphanage for abandoned babies.
By assisting women in crisis all throughout pregnancy and childbirth, Grace to be born ultimately aims to help in the fight against abortion and to successfully put abandoned/surrendered infants in nurturing homes that would enable them to grow up and live in a normal and loving family environment.
It is a ministry organized and run by Ms. Betty Go Roxas Chua and Rey/Myrna Ortega. Bo Sanchez was one of the pioneers of the organization and continuously supports it. It is also supported by the Rosary for Life movement. The center opened last May 8, 2009, and is duly registered at and approved by the SEC, DSWD, BIR and the Mayor’s Office.
BIRTHDAY PROJECT
Last Saturday, Mommy Pehpot and I had an unforgettable birthday party at Grace to be Born (read about this Birthday Project here). The event was a success, thanks to all the generous sponsors who helped us makes the mommies, staff and the babies happy.
My son who was not able to attend the event itself went there with me the day before to see and play with the kids. It’s funny that when he saw the little babies, he asked me that he wants to be inside the crib too (gaya gaya lang ang bubwit).
We also posted an open invite to all our friends who wanted to be a part of the celebration. We were glad that some blogger friends spared some of their precious time to join us, thank you Fedhz and Richard Mamuyac.
Since Mommy Pehpot is the one nearest to the area, she and her mom was the one who cooked our food. I just bought some fruits, our cakes and mamon.
After lunch, we had some games. We played charades, Pinoy Henyo, and Hep Hep Hooray (pinagbigyan ko na lang: si Mommy Pehpot si Mariel at ako si Pokwang hahaha).
Two mommies also showed their talent by singing the song of Fatima Soriano (I forgot the title)
I had fun playing with the mommies.
