Tupperware Run For Water Overview
2,000 participants join the fun run in support of World Water Day. For every runner, Tupperware will give 1 liter of clean water to the Payatas Community.
I am one of the early birds who registered in this Family fun run for a cause. I got our kit for only P50.00 (for 500 meter dash for kids). I registered for me and my son, but unfortunately, since he got sick 2 days before the event, I decided to ask my niece to run for him instead.
It was our first time to run at Aseana City, and I am not that familiar with the place. Good thing the bus conductor knew the area. When I saw the place and the running track I can say that it’s way better than MOA since the road is wider and there were not too many vehicles in the area.
At exactly 5:30 AM, the stretching exercise was done, and we were welcomed by the special guest Mr. Marvin Agustin.
The event was well organized. They used paper disposable cups at the water stations. There were lots of marshals who guide the runners. The personnel in charge of the loot bags and finisher’s shirts were strict in giving out items, so I can say that there will be no records of doubled loot bags or complaints of people who did not receive a loot bag or finisher’s kit.
The prizes are awesome too. I was in complete awe by the runner who won at 3K category, one finished it in just 11 minutes.
The only negative thing that I have observed was the photo booth area wherein we got our pictures for more than 1 hour to receive. We had our picture before the race (approximately 6:30am) and it came out the printer at 8am already.
Overall my niece and I had fun. We brought home Tupperware items that are approximately amounting to P800

i have always wanted to try those runs, but living in a far-off place out of the city leaves me with the trouble of arriving to the place at 5 or 5.30 in the morning…when my son is a bit bigger, maybe we can find ways to do it! ^_^

Someone just finished a 3k race in under 11 minutes? My gosh, that’s a monster! I was only able to finish a previous 3k run then under 26 minutes.. hahahah! Then again, I’m not the professional runner kind.
