Modern Toilet Restaurant in Taipei Overview
On our first day at Taipei in Taiwan, we had dinner at Modern Toilet Restaurant in Ximending. This was not included in my itinerary but when I asked my son if he wants to try it, he didn’t hesitate to say yes! and since we were just around the area that day, we decided to go and try it.
We were seated right away when we arrived because there were a lot of tables available. We were told to order one dish each. So I ordered hot pot while Ren ordered chicken fries. When I’m about to pay I thought that his order might not be considered as a meal since it’s like a light snack only so I ordered an additional cheesy steak also plus a chocolate ice cream.
Our food arrived after a few minutes. We love the hot pot that I ordered. It was perfect for the rainy weather at that time. The broth tasted good and the meat was tender. There were a lot of veggies included that unfortunately we were not able to finish. I also liked the chicken fries. But because the hot pot was already huge we were not able to finish the cheese steak sandwich and just brought it at the hotel.
Skip the chocolate ice cream if you’ll go here (masarap pa dirty ice cream natin). For the NT$100 price, just save it and buy something from a convenience store or visit Cremia at Taipei 101 mall because that’s WAY WAY better and it only cost NT$150
I paid a total bill of NT$940 for this dinner. For the experience, that’s fine with us but I don’t think we will go back.

Kamusta experience mi masarap po ba ang food .. Nakatuwa mi
masarap yung hot pot. Yung ice cream lang di ko nagustuhan kasi mas masarap pa dirty ice cream natin as mentioned
Ang sarap ng foods at ang laki ng serving good for sharing na din talaga.Na kyutan ako kasi di ko bet yong ganeto parang di ko kaya kumain sa ganyan.Okay na din for the experience nga.
