Tiny Buds: Organic Rice Powder Review
Ren is a hyper active kid, he can’t sit still for a long time and he always moves around. He is also diagnosed to have an asthma so we need to wipe his sweat on his back frequently to prevent cough.
If you will see him at the house, his everyday clothes are mostly colored white, cotton and all sandos to help his skin breath more and be more comfortable. There are times that we forget to check his back and before we know it he is already coughing.
The pedia allowed us to put a little powder on his back, unfortunately some powders that are easily available in the market are not hypoallergenic and some even contain honey suckle ingredients that is also forbidden to him (due to G6PD).
I am glad that a fellow mommy blogger recommend Tiny Buds rice powder to me. As much as possible, we prefer to use organic products in the house, especially with my son.
It is not an ordinary powder that can easily be bought at any leading supermarkets, I just found it at the latest Mommy Mundo event last May 2012.
What makes it different from an ordinary talc powder is that it is organic and made from 100% real rice grains. It is biodegradble and hypoallergenic, and is free from harmful talc. It also repels water which allows sweat to evaporate naturaly keeping the child’s skin healthy, fresh, moisturized and dry from perspiration.
Tiny Buds rice powder is also rich in protein and amino acids that provides natural UV protection for the child’s delicate skin. It is manufactured by Conway Innovatons LLC, GU, USA and distributed here in the Philippines by IMF Beauty and Wellness Products Manila (By the way, they also distributed the Clean Habits Spoon and Fork wipes that I reviewed at my other blog)
Tiny Buds rice powder is quite pricey than ordinary powders out in the market. A 50g is priced at P99.00 ($2) but we parents should only give the best for their children, so the cost for me is not that issue so long as it helps to keep my son healthy. Besides, a 50g sized container can last for a month or two. I still have a few powder left on the one I bought at Mommy Mundo event last May 6 and it’s already July 4 now. Isn’t that great!
