Baguio Day2: The Mansion, Wright Park, Botanical Garden, Mines View, Good Shepherd
After our trip at Camp John Hay, we rode a taxi going to our next tourist destination – the Mansion.
Ano ba pwedeng magawa dito? mag picture wala ng iba! hahahaha
Buti na lang free entrance, kasi kung may bayad, wag na kayo pumunta hahaha
Besides The Mansion is the Wright Park. Dito naman, madami ka pwedeng magawa. Like mag picture ulit haha… sumakay ng kabayo at bumili ng LV bags na pakalat kalat hahaha
We did not ride the horse because the place is quite smelly and we can’t tolerate to stay here. To give you an idea you’ll spend P250 for a 30 minutes horse back riding here.
We then walked to Botanical Garden another free tourist spot to visit. You can take pictures with the lolas of Baguio here for P20 each.
What we enjoyed here is renting an Igorot costume and took pictures at this small Igorot house. You need to pay P20 each for the costume with complete accessories.
After our trip here, we went to Azalea Hotel and Residences to check in (will make a separate post about our stay here next).
Then after resting for a few hours, around 4PM we went out again to visit Mines View. We were hoping to see a sunset in the afternoon but because it’s foggy, we were not able to see it. There were a lot of people who want to have their picture taken on this area, so we just took one and go.
On our way out of the place, I saw a horse where you can ride and have your picture
I asked Ren to have his picture taken, para lang may remembrance.
Then while walking, nainggit kami sa kumakain ng inihaw na pusit… kaya ayun napabili din. P25 per stick sya mga bes, yung mais na inihaw asa P50 ata (di ko matandaan, basta mas mahal sa regular).
Since Good Shepherd Convent is just a few minutes walk from this place, we decided to go there to buy the famous ube halaya. Unfortunately, when we arrived, sarado na sila hahaha.
Until 5PM lang pala sila open to the public. The Ube halaya at Good Shepherd cost P210 for the small bottle, but you can buy it from the other seller for P220 (not bad) if you don’t want to fall in line.
We bought ours at a store inside the gate and it’s still hot when we got it so I decided to open one while we were still there. Di ako mahilig sa halaya, pero ang sarap nya.
These are the places that you could visit in Baguio for free. Sa pagkain ka lang mapapagastos talaga.
