National Camella Day 2018 in Cavite Overview
Last Saturday, Camella celebrated the last leg of National Camella Day 2018 in Cavite. I live in one of their subdivision near Vista Mall Daang Hari where all the activities were held so I was able to witness some of the activities they lined up for the entire day.
Camella caters to the low-cost and affordable housing segment in Mega Manila, offering houses prices between Php 800,000 and Php 3.5 million. Camella markets its projects primarily under the “Camella” brand. Among these developments are Cerritos Heights and Lessandra Heights in Daang Hari, Alabang; Camella Vecina in Cabuyao, Laguna; Cerritos East in Pasig City; Camella Molino in Bacoor, Cavite; Grenville Residences in Taguig City; Pristina in Imus, Cavite and Fronterra in Las Piñas City.
Just a little background, I’ve known Camella subdivision since I was in high school. Some of my classmates lived in one of their subdivisions and I usually visit and even had a sleepover in their place. Compared to where we reside at that time, I noticed that Camella is more secure and quiet.
That’s why when my husband and I decided to have our own house and we saw that Camella is offering an affordable house and lot in an area that is quite accessible and near the metro, we did not think twice to get one. We purchased our house in its pre-selling stage and because of all the developments that happened in the past 5 years, our house is now offered double than its original value. Such a nice investment, isn’t it?
Yes, I admit when the unit was turned over to us there are some areas that needed to be fixed, it was not 100% perfect, but it was all resolved. Well, I guess that’s normal for any subdivision, what’s nice is that since Vista Land is in this business for a long period of time, they are more experience compared to other developers. I heard horror stories of other homeowners from different/new developers and they really regret buying from them, such a waste of money according to them.
So the lesson here is for you to do some research first about the developer if you are planning to buy one. Do not make an impulse decision based on the look of the model houses.
Okay so let’s go back to the National Camella Day celebration. The event started with a motorcade parade, then followed by a thanksgiving mass. After that, Mr. Manny Villar together with Lessandra mascot’s Esang did the ribbon cutting and welcomed the guest to start the festivities.
There was a gift giving to selected kids in the area too. It was followed by a dance competition and a mini-concert by Boyband PH.
At night time, Color Manila in partnership with Camella hosted a fun run called Black Light Run. There are 3K, 5K and 10K categories to choose from.
Overall, I think the first National Camella Day was a success. Please watch my video to see it for yourself.
