Recipe for the week: EGG SARCIADO
Excellent source of Vitamin C – helps fight common infections.
YOU WILL NEED
7 pcs. eggs
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc small onion, chopped
1 pouch (115 g) DEL MONTE Filipino Style Tomato Sauce
1-1/2 cups water
1/2 pc chicken bouillon cube
100 grams potatoes, sliced
1/4 cup cooked/frozen green peas
1 pc small red bell pepper, cut into cubes
1 COOK 6 pieces eggs until hard boiled. Cut each egg lengthwise into two. Beat remaining egg. Set aside.
2 SAUTÉ garlic and onion in oil. Add chicken cube, DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, water and potatoes. Season with 1 tsp soy sauce, 1/4 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/4 tsp iodized rock salt) and 1/8 tsp pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
3 ADD green peas, bell peppers and beaten eggs. Simmer while stirring for 2 minutes, or until cooked. Add boiled eggs.
